Geographer and urban field ecologist Matthew Gandy will lead a butterfly and moth walk in Abney Park on Sunday 18th June at 11am.
Abney Park is one of the best sites for bio-diverity in inner London and has a third of the UK’s species of butterflies, as well as hundreds of species of moths. The butterflies we can expect to see include the Speckled Wood, and if we are very lucky, the White-letter Hairstreak.
The walk is suitable for all ages.
Start: 11am
Finish: 12pm
Start and finish at the visitor centre.
Matthew is author of the book Moth, published by Reaktion, and you can also visit his website Lepidoptera Gallery.
